Profile

In 2233, the USS Kelvin encountered the Romulan mining ship Narada. The Narada, which was from the future, crippled the Kelvin and invited Captain Robau on board to discuss terms for a cease-fire. Little is known what took place on board the Narada, but shortly after the captain arrived, his life signs ceased.

George Kirk, now captain of the Kelvin, ordered all hands to evacuate ship including his wife and unborn son. The Kelvin's auto pilot was damaged, so Kirk had to remain on the Kelvin and hold the Narada off so the shuttles could escape. Kirk set the ship on a collision course and managed to disable the Narada enough so they could not pursue the remaining Kelvin crew. Kirk sacrificed himself to save the lives of 800 people, while only being in command for 12 minutes.

Future Starfleet captain, James T. Kirk was born on one of the evacuating shuttles and would later grow up to destroy the Narada whilst in command of the USS Enterprise.
